Salale University and Salale Development Global Initiative (SDGI) signed a Memorandum of understanding to work in collaboration. The agreement mainly focuses on academic, research, health, remote instruction and adviser ship, and other related issues. The president of Salale University, Dr. Genanew Gofe, stated that the signed
MoU differs from other similar agreements the university has made so far because it has been incepted and accomplished by self-initiated and self-motivated individuals living in different parts of the world. The general manager of SDGI, Dr. Fikadu Moroda, also remarked that the agreement needs to be implemented soon with strong follow-up from both sides. Some of the participants stated that such agreements are important to step up the university and play a crucial role in bridging practical gaps the university alone cannot address. It is to be recalled that the University signed very interesting MoU with Jiangsu University found in China.
