Welcome to Salale University’s (SlU) Official Website,It is my great honor to serve as the President of Salale University, and I am deeply inspired to work alongside the dedicated and enthusiastic staff of our institution. I firmly believe that education is the most powerful tool to drive national progress and improve lives in all dimensions. It serves as the foundation for all forms of advancement, achievable only when access and equity are ensured.

With this vision, and guided by our motto, "Co-Creating Quality," Salale University was established in 2015 in Fiche town, North Showa Zone, Oromia Region, located 112 kilometers from Addis Ababa. Since its inception, SlU has been steadfastly committed to its three core missions: education, research, and community service. The University began its academic journey with nine undergraduate programs. Today, it offers more than thirty undergraduate programs, and we have finalized preparations to launch postgraduate programs in various fields by 2020. Our region, North Showa, widely known as "Salale" for historical reasons, is uniquely positioned, bordered by two major tributaries of the Nile River—Mogor and Jama—as well as the Nile itself. This area has attracted significant attention from researchers and academics due to its potential mineral resources.

The top management of Salale University officially visited the blended modality (E-learning) program at the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The Vice President for Academic and Research Affairs, Dr. Tsegaye Deyou, the Special Assistant to the Vice President for Academic and Research Affairs, Mr. Gezahegn Feye, and the Dean of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mr. Habtamu Atlaw, conducted an official visit to the online e-learning program currently being implemented under the blended learning modality.

During the visit, it was highlighted that the Ministry of Education has officially approved the delivery of selected courses through the blended learning modality in four departments: English and Literature, Sociology, Amharic and Literature, and Education and Behavioral Studies. Students enrolled in these programs are currently pursuing their studies via online learning platforms as part of the blended learning approach.

Mr. Bayu Nesibu, E-Learning Coordinator of the College of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that the College offers four courses across the departments of English and Literature, Sociology, Amharic and Literature, Education and Behavioral Studies. He noted that, in addition to ensuring quality education, online learning plays a key role in familiarizing students with technology. He further stated that the College will continue to collaborate closely with relevant authorities to expand and strengthen online education in the future.

The Director of the E-Learning Directorate, Mr. Mesfin Adugna, stated Salale University commitment to advancing blended learning, noting that the University is currently delivering selected courses through blended modality. He further emphasized that the University will continue to prioritize high-quality education while promoting students’ academic excellence and competitiveness at all levels.
